Dual-channel collection, automatic enrichment, and native deduplication. LayerData brings your conversion signal to enterprise level with zero code changes.
Shopify native pixel
is no longer enough.
This is not your fault. Client-side tracking worked well until 2020. Then iOS 14, Safari ITP, mass ad blockers, and third-party cookie deprecation changed everything.
of users actively block pixels. Ad blockers and privacy protections hide conversions from your dashboard.
Low Event Match Score means weak optimization. Without hashed user data, platforms cannot match conversions reliably.
Two channels. Zero gaps.
One clean signal.
LayerData captures each event from two independent directions. If one channel is blocked, the other covers. No conversion falls through.
Shopify native Custom Pixel in sandbox architecture.
Server-to-server webhook, resilient to browser privacy limits and client-side blocking.
Automatic dedup with unique event_id: one event, one conversion.

Custom Pixel captures
every client-side event
LayerData uses Shopify native Custom Pixels in a sandbox architecture introduced post-2023. Unlike theme-injected pixels, it is harder to block and requires no theme code access.
Server-side webhook
+ automatic enrichment
In parallel to the pixel, LayerData receives events via webhook directly from Shopify servers before browser-side limitations apply. Then each event is enriched with first-party account data.
Each event has a unique event_id generated by LayerData. Meta and Google automatically discard duplicates.
Email, phone, and address already available in Shopify are hashed and attached to each conversion.
User consent is respected on every channel. Google uses modeling to estimate missing conversions without personal data.

For those who want
to understand details.
Why are Shopify Custom Pixels harder to block?
They run in Shopify's sandbox architecture, not as theme scripts injected in the main DOM.
How does platform-level deduplication work?
LayerData sends deterministic event_id values so platforms can identify and discard duplicates.
Is LayerData compatible with CMPs like Iubenda and Cookiebot?
Yes. LayerData reads consent from your CMP and applies Consent Mode v2 logic.
What happens to users who deny consent?
No personal data is sent. Consent Mode modeling helps recover optimization signal in aggregate form.
How are API updates handled?
LayerData monitors API changes and rolls out updates server-side without user intervention.
